Why Study Spanish?

I am personally studying Spanish because i have to have this class for college. Most people in the class are taking Spanish because of the same reason i am; but they should take Spanish anyways because you will get to learn a new language, and about different countries. The benefits of being in this class is that i can understand what people are saying "Kinda", but more importantly i will be more aware of other countries; and how they speak. I am extremely excited about this class, and i hope it turns out to be a good semester!
